Here's a brief selection from a friend of the blog, Dom Owen. Owner of Bristol's store Seven and recent veteran of a Land's End to John O'Groats cycling mission, these are some gems from his wardrobe.
SWAN BRAND DOWN JACKET
IVE HAD THIS FOR MANY YEARS AND IT STILL COMES OUT EVERY WINTER, REALLY LIKE THE 2 TONE COLURWAY AND THE “V” IN THE BACK YOKE.
AGNES B HOMME COTTON LONG SLEEVE
CLASSIC HEAVY COTTON, VERY FRENCH AS EVER AGNES B KEEPS IT SIMPLE AND NEVER SEEMS TO GO OUT OF STYLE.
AQUASCUTUM COTTON JACKET
GOT THIS AS A SAMPLE FOR A BARGAIN, VERY CASUAL FOR AQUASCUTUM,
LOVE THE PLUM PURPLE COLOUR AND FITS PERFECT.
HOLMES WOOL KNIT
BEFORE SILAS THERE WAS HOLMES, AHEAD OF THEIR TIME AND ONE ON THE FIRST UK STREET/SKATE LABELS, GOT THIS IN 93/94 I THINK, MADE IN SHETLAND ISLANDS, WASHED IT YEARS AGO A BIT TOO HOT SO THE WOOLS PULLED A BIT TIGHT NOW.
GOODENOUGH TEE
ONE OF THE FIRST LABELS I SAW TO EXPERIMENT LIKE THIS WITH TEE SHIRTS, I GOT THIS ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO WHEN FLY USED TO BE ON THE KINGS ROAD,
WISH I HAD ONE OF ALL THE DESIGNS FROM THIS SERIES.
BARBOUR TARTAN SHIRT
SO SOFT BRUSHED COTTON, ORIGINAL BARBOUR TARTAN,
COULD WEAR THIS FOR EVER IT FITS SO WELL.
MONCLER HAT
SO FRENCH, GREAT BRAND, LOVE THE DOWN JACKETS AS WELL BUT CANT STRETCH TO THE PRICE AT THE MOMENT.
GUCCI SELVEDGE DENIM
PLAIN DARK DENIM, (GOT PAINT ON WHILE DECORATING OH WELL) PICKED THESE UP FROM A CHARITY SHOP FOR FIVE QUID A FEW YEARS BACK, LIKE HOW THEY ARE NEARLY UNBRANDED WITH A BLACK ON BLACK LABEL AND GUCCI COLOURED SELVEDGE.
EDWIN GORE TEX DENIM
GOT THESE FROM AN EDWIN SAMPLE SALE A WHILE AGO PRETTY CHEAP, I DONT KNOW IF THEY CAME OUT AS I ONLY SAW THE GORE WINDSTOPPER ONES AFTER THAT, PRETTY HANDY IF ITS RAINING, FULLY TAPED GORE TEX INSIDE.
CLARKS WALLABEE BOOTS
THE SHOE VERSION IS OK BUT ITS THE BOOTS I REALLY LIKE THE SHAPE OF, MY FAVOURITE ARE BLACK SUEDE WITH CREPE SOLES, APPARENTLY OUR MATES DAD USED TO USE THEM INSTEAD OF RUNNING SHOES IN THE 70S !!, SUPER COMFY AND YOU CAN GET IN SHIT CLUBS IF NEED TO NO PROBLEMS.
